Cardinals Finalizing Trade of Marvin Harrison Jr., Texans in the Mix
The Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a deal to trade wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Saturday. The Cardinals informed Harrison that he will be inactive for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions as the trade is completed. Houston has had talks with Arizona and is thought to be squarely in the mix, which would reunite Harrison with his college quarterback, C.J. Stroud. The Indianapolis Colts are not involved in talks, a source told ESPN. Arizona was asking for a second-round choice and more. The No. 4 pick in 2024 has five catches for 85 yards this season.
Packers Will Honor Mike Ditka with Moment of Silence at Lambeau Field
The Green Bay Packers will honor former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka with a moment of silence before Sunday’s game against the Bears at Lambeau Field, a Green Bay spokesperson said. Ditka died Friday at 86. Although he was a vocal antagonist who went 15-5 against the Packers as head coach, Green Bay issued a statement calling him an essential figure in the rivalry. “One of the fiercest competitors in NFL history, Mike helped define the intensity and tradition of the Packers-Bears rivalry,” the statement said. The Packers also held a moment of silence in 1999, when the Bears visited shortly after Walter Payton died.

Tyson Bagent Leads Bears Into Lambeau as Caleb Williams Returns to Practice
Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent faces the Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday after going 25-for-34 for 268 yards and an interception in last week’s 23-12 win over the Jets, his first start in three years. A win would improve Chicago to 4-1. With running back Kyle Monangai out with an injured toe, the Bears will lean on D’Andre Swift, who was benched against the Jets after fumbling, and could turn to Roschon Johnson. Caleb Williams, who has spent three weeks rehabbing an injured hamstring, returned to practice Friday for the first time. “It is very cool to be able to play in the greatest rivalry in sports,” Bagent said.

Bills Rule Out Ed Oliver and Joshua Palmer, DJ Moore Questionable for Rams
Buffalo Bills coach Joe Brady ruled out defensive tackle Ed Oliver (knee) and wide receiver Joshua Palmer for Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Palmer landed on the injury report late Friday with a shoulder injury. Wide receiver DJ Moore returned to practice Saturday in a noncontact jersey and will be designated questionable as he deals with an aggravation of a shoulder injury first sustained in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions. With Palmer out, Brady said rookie Skyler Bell will be active for his NFL debut. Cornerback Christian Benford (toe) will be active after missing Week 4, while nickel corner Dee Alford (ankle) is questionable.
Chargers Place Trey Lance on Injured Reserve Before Broncos Game
The Los Angeles Chargers placed quarterback Trey Lance on injured reserve Saturday ahead of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. Lance had already been ruled out this week with a groin injury and will miss at least four games. DJ Uiagalelei will serve as Justin Herbert’s backup. The Chargers also placed offensive lineman Trevor Penning on injured reserve after putting left tackle Rashawn Slate on the list Friday. Fullback Scott Matlock and offensive lineman Branson Taylor were activated from injured reserve, and wide receiver Theo Wease was signed off the practice squad. Offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill and cornerback Isas Waxter were elevated for the game.

Seahawks Sign Trevon Diggs to Active Roster From Practice Squad
The Seattle Seahawks signed cornerback Trevon Diggs to their 53-man roster from the practice squad on Saturday. Diggs made his Seahawks debut last Sunday after being elevated on a temporary basis and played nine defensive snaps. A 2020 second-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys, Diggs made first-team All-Pro in his second season before knee issues sidetracked him. He remained in Dallas until he was waived last season, then played one game for the Green Bay Packers before being released in January. Diggs has 242 tackles and 20 career interceptions. Seattle also placed rookie cornerback Julian Neal (hamstring) on injured reserve and downgraded wide receiver Irv Charles from questionable to out.

49ers Release Matthew Judon From Practice Squad as Mykel Williams Returns
The San Francisco 49ers released defensive end Matthew Judon from their practice squad on Saturday. The move made room for defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo to return to the practice squad. The 49ers had cut Okoronkwo from the active roster Friday in order to activate Mykel Williams from the reserve/PUP list on Saturday. San Francisco signed Judon to its practice squad on Sept. 28 and elevated him to the active roster for last Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, where he totaled one tackle on 14 defensive snaps. Judon played 14 games for two teams last season. He became a free agent in January when the Buffalo Bills cut him.

The New England Patriots placed fullback Reggie Gilliam (ankle/knee) and wide receiver Mack Hollins (calf) on injured reserve; both will miss at least four games. The Colts downgraded wide receiver Darius Slayton (knee) to out against the Steelers and placed defensive end Arden Key on injured reserve.
