Ferrari Tops Spa 24H Superpole After GetSpeed Mercedes Excluded for Brake Infringement
Alessio Rovera claimed Spa 24 Hours Superpole for the No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO, dominating all four elimination segments to set a 2m18.330s benchmark. The result followed a significant upset: Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed, which had set the fastest time in regular qualifying, was excluded from Superpole after mechanics performed brake work on the No. 17 car during Q3, violating the regulations. GetSpeed's trio of Maxime Martin, Maximilian Goetz and Fabian Schiller lost all Q3 times as a result. Rovera's pole gives AF Corse Ferrari an advantageous grid position for the 24-hour race heading into night.
