Edmonton Elks 19, BC Lions 17
The Edmonton Elks improved to 5-1 with a hard-fought 19-17 victory over the BC Lions on Saturday night. Quarterback Darian Fajardo completed 27 of 37 passes for 282 yards and a touchdown, while kicker Lewis Blanchard was perfect on four field goal attempts to provide the winning margin. The Elks defence held firm late to preserve the result, keeping Edmonton at the top of the West Division. The Lions, already dealing with a number of roster challenges, had chances to pull ahead but could not convert when it mattered most.

Nathan Rourke Exits with Left Shoulder Injury in Edmonton
BC Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke left Saturday’s game in Edmonton with a left shoulder injury after being sacked on just the second offensive play of the contest. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced on Saturday that veteran quarterback Zach Collaros and receiver Cameron Lawson have both been placed on the six-game injured list, sidelining them indefinitely.
