Roughriders Captain Jayden Dalke, 30, Killed in Fatal Saskatchewan Highway Crash
The Canadian Football League and the city of Regina are mourning the death of Saskatchewan Roughriders linebacker and special teams captain Jayden Dalke, who was killed in a two-vehicle collision Saturday evening on Highway 11 near Lumsden, Saskatchewan. A second driver, Bhishma Rajyaguru, 22, of Regina, also died at the scene. RCMP confirmed Dalke's vehicle was travelling on the wrong side of the divided highway at the time of the crash. Police also confirmed the presence of alcohol and cannabis in Dalke's vehicle. The Roughriders selected Dalke, 30, from Leduc, Alberta, in the sixth round of the 2022 CFL draft; he was in his fifth professional season.

BC Lions Sign QB Tyrie Adams to Replace Injured Nathan Rourke
The BC Lions are signing quarterback Tyrie Adams to replace starting quarterback Nathan Rourke, who faces an extended absence following a left shoulder injury sustained Friday in Edmonton. TSN's Farhan Lalji reported the signing Monday. Adams, 29, spent four seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks, appearing in 23 regular-season games and completing 62.6 per cent of his passes for 817 yards, five touchdowns, and six interceptions. He started twice for Ottawa, posting an 0-2 record. Rourke's injury occurred on the second play of Friday's game when he was sacked by Edmonton defensive lineman Noah Taylor and did not return.

Roughriders Regroup After Dalke's Death, Will Honor Captain Before Thursday's Elks Game
