The goal

Fill the 5×5 grid so every Across and Down answer matches its clue — a bite-size crossword you can finish with your morning coffee. A new puzzle is published every day.

Controls

• Click or tap a square to select it; the active word is highlighted and its clue appears above the grid. Click the same square again to switch between Across and Down.
• Type letters with your keyboard (or the on-screen keys on your phone). The cursor advances to the next empty square in the word.
• Backspace erases (and steps backward when the square is already empty); Space flips direction; Tab and Enter jump to the next clue; arrow keys move around the grid.
• Click any clue in the list to jump straight to its answer.

Finishing

The timer starts when the puzzle opens and stops when you solve it. When the grid is full, any incorrect letters turn red so you can fix them — the puzzle is done when every square is right.

Where the puzzles come from

Each day’s grid is built fresh by a puzzle generator that interlocks words from a hand-curated, clued word list, so every crossing is a real word and every puzzle has exactly one solution. Yesterday’s puzzles live in the archive.
