TTC Work Car Fleet Grounded After Second Hydraulic Spill in a Week
The TTC suspended its entire work car fleet on Friday after a second hydraulic fluid spill shut down a section of Line 2 within a single week. TTC CEO Mandeep Lali apologized to riders after the morning disruption halted service between Ossington and Woodbine stations from around 3 a.m. during the Friday rush hour. GO Transit Suspends Lakeshore East and Stouffville Lines All Weekend
Metrolinx has suspended all GO Train service on the Lakeshore East and Stouffville lines for the entire weekend of April 11 and 12, affecting roughly 100 kilometres of track and 21 stations across both corridors. The shutdowns, necessitated by the ongoing GO Expansion project, allow crews to install crossover switches, replace track panels and ballast, and advance utility work linked to the Ontario Line. Replacement GO buses serve all affected stations on both lines, though the Stouffville corridor will see no bus service at Milliken, Agincourt or Kennedy GO stations during the closure.
