Nationals Snap Braves' Six-Game Win Streak as Wood Homers, García Collects Four Hits in 11-4 Rout
James Wood homered and drew four walks — only the second National to do so since the franchise relocated from Montreal — as Washington handed Atlanta an 11-4 defeat that snapped the Braves' six-game winning streak on Tuesday night. Luis García Jr. went 4-for-4 to pace the offense. Starter Foster Griffin (3-0) allowed three runs and five hits across six innings for the victory. The Nationals struck early, plating three runs before Atlanta's Reynaldo López (1-1) retired a batter in the first and chasing López just two batters into the second. Curtis Mead also went deep, while Drake Baldwin and Eli White homered for the Braves.

The Yankees collected 10 hits to Boston's four and registered their major-league-leading fifth shutout of 2026. With the win, New York improved to 13-9 and moved into sole possession of first place in the AL East, a half-game ahead of Tampa Bay.

White Sox Rout Diamondbacks 11-5 as Murakami Homers for Fourth Straight Game, Three Consecutive Blasts in Second Inning
Munetaka Murakami homered for the fourth consecutive game — joining four other White Sox rookies to accomplish that feat, the last being Matt Davidson in 2017 — as Chicago routed Arizona 11-5 in Phoenix on Tuesday night. The White Sox hit three consecutive home runs in the second inning, with Murakami, Miguel Vargas and Colson Montgomery going back-to-back-to-back to build a 7-0 lead. Montgomery blasted a 440-foot shot for his third straight game with a home run. Starter Sean Burke earned his first win in 17 career appearances. Rookies Montgomery and Sam Antonacci each drove in three runs to lead the offense.
