Braves Become First Team to 40 Wins as Acuña Homers for Third Straight Game
Ronald Acuña Jr. hit a pair of solo home runs for the third consecutive game to power the Atlanta Braves past the Cincinnati Reds 5-2 on Saturday night, making Atlanta the first team to reach 40 wins in 2026. Acuña drove in runs off Brady Singer in the third inning and Lyon Richardson in the ninth, finishing 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Matt Olson added his 16th homer and Jorge Mateo his third as the Braves improved to 40-19 overall and 23-9 on the road, the best road mark in the majors.
