Royals Score in Every Inning They Bat, Batter Phillies 15-1 Behind Four-Homer Outburst
Salvador Perez, Luke Maile, Lane Thomas, and Tyler Tolbert homered as the Kansas City Royals battered the Philadelphia Phillies 15-1 on Monday, tagging ace Cristopher Sánchez for a career-worst nine earned runs in 3 1/3 innings. The Royals piled up 22 hits and a season-high 15 runs. CBS Sports described Kansas City’s feat of scoring in each of the eight innings they batted as a rare achievement in MLB history. Tolbert had his first career five-hit game. Noah Cameron earned the win, allowing just one run on six hits over five innings for Kansas City.

Rushing Walk-Off Single in 11th Gives Dodgers First Extra-Inning Win of 2026
Dalton Rushing singled in the go-ahead run against a drawn-in infield in the bottom of the 11th inning, lifting the Los Angeles Dodgers past the Colorado Rockies 8-7 on Monday night in Los Angeles’ first extra-innings game of the 2026 season. Teoscar Hernández opened the 11th at second base, Max Muncy drew an intentional walk, and Tommy Edman’s sacrifice bunt advanced Hernández to third before Rushing’s decisive knock. Rushing finished 3-for-5. Shohei Ohtani drove in four runs for Los Angeles. A bench-clearing incident erupted in the 10th after Rockies outfielder Cole Carrigg and Rushing exchanged words at home plate following a close play.

James Wood Grand Slam Powers Washington Comeback Over Houston 12-11

Schlittler Shines in Eight Innings, Caballero Homers Twice as Yankees Top Rays 5-1

Brewers Rally for Four in the Seventh to Stun Cardinals 4-3
The Milwaukee Brewers rallied from a three-run deficit with a four-run seventh inning to defeat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3 on Monday night. Ha-Seong Kim Lands on Braves Injured List With Right Finger Inflammation
The Atlanta Braves placed shortstop Ha-Seong Kim on the 10-day injured list Monday, retroactive to July 1, with inflammation in his right middle finger — the same finger Kim surgically repaired after tearing a ligament while slipping on ice in South Korea in January. Kim signed a one-year, $20 million deal with Atlanta before the season but has struggled significantly, slashing .068/.171/.068 in 82 plate appearances. To fill roster spots, the Braves activated infielder Kyle Farmer from the 10-day IL and recalled right-hander JR Ritchie from Triple-A Gwinnett. The Braves enter Tuesday leading the NL East at 48-28.

Mets Acquire Reliever Matt Seelinger From Tigers Ahead of August 3 Deadline
The New York Mets acquired right-handed reliever Matt Seelinger from the Detroit Tigers on Monday in exchange for cash considerations, adding bullpen depth ahead of the August 3 trade deadline.
