Cleveland Browns Trade Two-Time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to Los Angeles Rams
The Cleveland Browns have traded two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, receiving edge rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick. Browns GM Andrew Berry said Tuesday the opportunity was too great to pass up, noting the deal was not part of the team’s original offseason plan. Berry confirmed Garrett was notified about a week before the trade that it was a possibility. Garrett, who set the single-season sack record with 23 sacks in 2025, heads to a Rams team hosting Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium in February 2027.
