Genesis Magma Racing scores first WEC Hypercar points at Spa with aggressive strategy

André Lotterer credited an aggressive pit strategy as the key factor behind Genesis Magma Racing’s maiden World Endurance Championship points finish at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The Korean manufacturer’s #17 GV80 Supercar, driven by Lotterer, Luis Felipe Derani and Mathys Jaubert, collected four points in Round 2, lifting Genesis to eighth in the Hypercar manufacturers’ standings with six championship points. The result marks a significant milestone for the squad, which joined the WEC Hypercar class in 2026. BMW leads the manufacturers’ standings with 59 points after claiming its maiden Hypercar victory in the same race.

SRO confirms bumper 70-car grid for 2026 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa

SRO Motorsports Group has confirmed a 70-car entry list for the 2026 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, one of the largest fields in recent editions of the GT World Challenge Europe showpiece at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Factory and customer GT3 entries from the world’s major manufacturers will contest the event, which serves as the centrepiece of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup season. The announcement arrives as on-circuit preparations are under way, with the prologue timed sessions already completed at the Belgian venue. The Spa 24 Hours is the most points-rich round of the GT World Challenge Europe calendar.
