Roughriders Rout Tiger-Cats 38-7 to Share West Division Lead
The Saskatchewan Roughriders dismantled the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 38-7 on Sunday in Regina, moving to 4-1 and tying the Edmonton Elks for first place in the West Division. Linebacker Josh Woods delivered the defining play, intercepting Hamilton quarterback Jake Dolegala at the Riders' three-yard line and returning it 107 yards for a touchdown. Running back A.J. Ouellette carried 18 times for 83 yards, while Saskatchewan converted turnovers into 27 of their 38 points. Head coach Corey Mace improved to 5-0 against Hamilton in his CFL career. Alouettes Edge Stampeders 37-30 in Late Drama at Percival Molson
The Montreal Alouettes improved to 4-1 with a 37-30 victory over the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday at Percival Molson Stadium. Quarterback Davis Alexander passed for over 300 yards for the fifth consecutive game to open 2026, while receiver Tyson Philpot contributed 132 yards and a touchdown. Dru Brown Earns First Bomber Win; Vaval's 129-Yard Return the Difference
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the Toronto Argonauts 30-21 on Friday at Princess Auto Stadium before 32,134 fans, as Dru Brown earned his first victory as a Bomber starter. With franchise quarterback Zach Collaros out with a neck injury, Brown went 25-of-31 for 339 yards, one touchdown and one interception. The game-turning play came when Toronto missed a field goal and Trey Vaval returned the ball 129 yards for a touchdown. Kicker Sergio Castillo added five field goals. Ontaria Wilson led receivers with 10 catches for 133 yards. Toronto's Chad Kelly threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort.

Rankin Hat Trick Powers Elks Past Winless Redblacks 40-17
Running back Justin Rankin scored three touchdowns as the Edmonton Elks handed the Ottawa Redblacks their fifth straight loss Thursday night, 40-17. Argonauts Acquire Global Punter Burnip from Ottawa for 2027 Draft Pick
The Toronto Argonauts acquired Global punter James Burnip from the Ottawa Redblacks on Sunday, with Ottawa receiving a conditional eighth-round pick in the 2027 CFL Draft. Burnip, a 6-foot-6, 236-pound specialist, was selected by Ottawa in the second round, 14th overall, of the 2025 Global Draft. The former University of Alabama punter signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent before being waived, then joined the Redblacks this offseason. Burnip spent 2026 on Ottawa's practice roster after losing the punter competition to American Noah Gettman in training camp.
