Max Muncy hammered three home runs, capping his night with a walk-off solo shot in the ninth inning after closer Edwin Díaz blew his first save of the season, lifting the Los Angeles Dodgers past the Texas Rangers 8-7 on Friday. Muncy connected off starter Kumar Rocker in the second and fourth innings before delivering the heroics in the ninth. Andy Pages added a homer and four RBI. The victory made Los Angeles the first team in baseball to reach 10 wins in 2026, improving to 10-3 and marking their sixth comeback win and sixth victory in the last seven games.

Detroit center fielder Parker Meadows was placed on the 10-day injured list on Friday after suffering a broken left arm, a concussion, and five stitches in his mouth from a terrifying head-to-head collision with teammate Riley Greene during Thursday’s game in Minneapolis. The Tigers recalled outfielder Wenceel Pérez from Triple-A Toledo to fill the roster spot. In Toronto, catcher Alejandro Kirk remains on the injured list following thumb surgery, with Brandon Valenzuela recalled to fill the gap. Kirk, who had a screw inserted into his left thumb on April 7, is expected to miss approximately six weeks.

San Diego closer Mason Miller extended his scoreless streak to 27⅔ innings — the longest active mark in baseball — striking out all three Rockies hitters on just 10 pitches in the ninth inning Friday, before Xander Bogaerts delivered a walk-off grand slam in the 12th to give the Padres a 7-3 victory over Colorado. Bogaerts’ ninth career grand slam, his second as a Padre, came off reliever Valente Bellozo. Starter Randy Vásquez was solid through 5.2 innings. Miller’s 76.2% strikeout rate through six appearances is the highest by any pitcher in his first six outings since 1900.
