Cubs blast franchise-record 9 home runs in 17-3 rout of Brewers
Alex Bregman hit three of Chicago's franchise-record nine home runs as the Cubs routed the Milwaukee Brewers 17-3 Monday night at Wrigley Field, capping a record-setting August. Tyrone Taylor and Nico Hoerner hit back-to-back homers off Harrison in the first inning, and Bregman connected in the second. Seiya Suzuki and Bregman went back-to-back in the fourth. Walker Jenkins hits first MLB home run as Twins rout Tigers 11-1
Ryan Jeffers homered twice and top prospect Walker Jenkins hit the first home run of his major league career as the Minnesota Twins routed the Detroit Tigers 11-1 Monday night. Devers hits 30th HR; Giants end Braves' 7-game winning streak
Rafael Devers hit his 30th home run of the season and rookie Turner Hill contributed a pivotal two-run double as the San Francisco Giants ended the Atlanta Braves' seven-game winning streak with a 7-3 victory Monday night. Orioles claim Luis Robert Jr. off waivers from Mets

Baltimore, which had traded catcher Adley Rutschman to Boston at the trade deadline, added Robert to bolster its outfield for a potential playoff push. Robert had recently returned from a three-month stint on the 60-day injured list due to a lumbar spine herniation, then hit .311 with six home runs over a 19-game stretch. The Orioles will assume the remainder of Robert's $20 million salary.
