Commanders LT Laremy Tunsil Diagnosed with Torn Triceps, Expected to Miss Most of 2026 Season
Washington Commanders left tackle Laremy Tunsil has been diagnosed with a torn triceps suffered during Saturday training camp practice, an injury expected to sideline him for most if not all of the 2026 season. Tunsil was hurt during a one-on-one rep with edge rusher Odafe Oweh, immediately clutching his right elbow after disengaging from a bull rush. Surgery will be required. The setback is particularly costly because Washington signed Tunsil to a two-year, $60.2 million extension just five months ago, leaving the Commanders scrambling to replace their starting left tackle ahead of Jayden Daniels's second NFL season.
