All 32 Teams Must Cut to 53 by 6 p.m. Sunday as Roster Cutdown Day Arrives
All 32 teams face Sunday’s 6 p.m. ET deadline to trim rosters from 90 to 53 players, the most frenzied day of movement on the NFL calendar. More than 1,100 players will be released, waived, or placed on injured reserve as clubs finalize their 2026 rosters. Players with fewer than four accrued seasons go on waivers, available for other teams to claim by noon CT Monday; vested veterans become immediate free agents. Bills Release Three-Time Super Bowl Champion Mecole Hardman Ahead of Cutdown Deadline
The Buffalo Bills released wide receiver Mecole Hardman and veteran punter Mitch Wishnowsky on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s roster cutdown deadline.
